This project demonstrates how adaptive the re-use of old-building structures can be a great option for multiple purposes: commercial, recreational, and event space - in addition to being an eco-friendly solution in architecture. The building used to be very dark and poorly ventilated, therefore we added a lot of huge openings and created a micro climate using vegetation to support passive cooling throughout the building. The owner wanted it to become a multi-function place for urban citizens to take a break from their hustle lives, sitting comfortably in a safe park and enjoying local street foods. Almost all the furniture reused steel wastes and bamboo to avoid using new materials. The roof is connected to rainwater tank collection that provides water for the vegetation and toilet flush.
